The Executive Board & Council of the OCM and its affiliates express its deepest condolences to the Royal Family of Negeri Sembilan.

FTAAA Young Talent Athletics Meet

Further to the report on the final circuit of the Young Talent Athletics Meet held at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium on 21st December 2008, the details of the Meet are as follows. The Meet was held over three circuits, with the first circuit being held on 19th October, the second circuit on 23rd November and the third and final circuit on 21st December. All the three circuits were held at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium. Competitors at the three circuits were divided into 5 age groups for boys and for girls, as follows: Primary School Girls and Primary School Boys of ages 10 to 12 years, Lower Secondary School Girls and Lower Secondary School Girls of ages 13 and 14 years, Upper Secondary School Girls and Upper Secondary School Boys of ages 14 and 16 years, Senior Secondary School Girls and Senior Secondary School Boys of ages 17 and 18 years and Women’s Open and Men’s Open for over 18 years to 35 years (school leavers).

Of the 10 age groups, there were many participants in the 10 to 12 years and the 13 and 14 years age group, while the Men’s Open and Women’s Open categories had the least participants. In fact the Women’s Open category did not have a single entry in all three circuits.

The three circuits exposed some young athletes with good potential. In the 10 to 12 years age group, the average time of the first three winners of 33 sec. in 200m and 77 sec. in 400m for the girls and 30 sec in 200m and 68 sec in the 400m for the boys.

In the boys 13 and 14 years age group, Kesavan Maniraja ran the 400m in 58.6 sec. and the 800m in 2:11.4 which are very good times. In the boys 15 & 16 year, Muhd Shahril Adnan ran 400m in 56.3 sec. and 800m in 2:08.4 which are also very good times.

The following interesting observations should be noted:

* There are many young talented athletes waiting to be identified. There young athletes have strong parental support.

* Unfortunately, the drop-out rate is very high, as by 18 years and above, there were no longer any young men or young women interested to participate in athletics.

2nd National Inter-Club Handball Championship 2008

The 2nd National Inter-Club Handball Championship 2008 was held on 25th December 2008 at the OCM Indoor Sports Arena. 9 men’s team and 5 women’s participated in a single round knock-out competitions format. The interesting aspect of the Championship was that each team paid a participation fee of RM40/=. Of the RM560/= collected, RM300/= was paid to the 4 referees as allowance. RM200/= was paid to OCM for rental of the hall and the balance RM60/= was spent on miscellaneous items for the Championship. Milo very generously donated the Championship Trophies, one for the men and one for the women and also the winners’ medals to all four semi-finalists for the men’s and the women’s competitions.

At the very close and exciting men’s final, Hoisan KL became the champion, by beating UiTM Shah Alam, by 8 goals to 5. UPSI (Perak) was third with Melaka in fourth position. In the women’s final, Legend KL defeated UiTM Shah Alam by 10 goals to 3 to finish as Champion. UKM was third and UPSI fourth.

Overall the standard of Handball has improved, with many of the matches ending up with one goal difference between the winning teams and the losing teams. In the men’s competitions, UiTM Shah Alam, won all their matches by one goal, beating Gombak by 6 goals to 5 in the first round, and then Negeri Sembilan by a score of 10 goals to 9 in the next round and beating UPSI Perak in the semi-final with a score of 14 goals to 13.

Handball is a very popular sport at school level, with competitions for under 12 years, under 16 years and under 18 years. The sport is also very popular at university level, with MASUM organizing an annual championship for the university teams. Unfortunately, for many years there were no competitions for school leavers, who did not enter universities. Since 2006, The Malaysian Handball Federation has been organizing inter-club competitions open to teams with non-university players. Hoisan KL is one such team.

With every team paying a small participation fee, each time they competed, lack of funds was no longer a problem. The players themselves were quite happy to pay a small fee, as they realized that by not paying the small fee, they would not have the opportunity to pay competitive Handball. More sports, especially the less popular sports should use the Handball competition model to organize competitions at grass-roots level.

Sukan popular terus dibelenggu kemerosotan

Merry Christmas

to all Christian members of OCM, NSAs, Sponsors, Media, and etc., a Merry Christmas.

2nd Asian Koi Open Karate Championship 2008

Congratulations to the Malaysia Karate Federation (MAKAF) and the Organising Committee for successfully organization of the 2nd Asian KOI Open Karate Championship on 20th and 21st December at Gymnasium 2, National Sports Council, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

The Kobe Osaka International (KOI) was founded by Mr. Tommy Morris in 1991. The KOI Karate Championship is an international competition for junior Karate exponents at clubs level. Over 500 athletes, both male and female, from 19 countries participated in the 2nd Asian KOI Open Karate Championship. The Championship was divided into age groups for boys and girls 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 years, cadet category 14-15 years, junior category 16-17 years and senior category above 18 years.

FTAAA Young Talent Athletics Meet

The Federal Territory Amateur Athletes Association organized a very successful Young Talent Athletics Meet at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on 21st December 2008. Over 150 young athletes, supported by their parents, friends, siblings and coaches participated in the competitions, which was the third held in 2008.

The athletes competed in the under 16 years and under 12 years for boys and for girls. The young athletes displayed so much talent, enthusiasm and fighting spirit that it is very surprising to see championships at states and national levels, so poorly attended and supported. Something must be done to harness all these talents so that Malaysia can again be the leading country in athletics, not only in the SEA region but also in Asia.

Almost all the parent were concerned with the lack of proper training and coaching facilities in their children’s schools. The parents have to search around for public training centres (which are few and far in between) and to drive or send their children to such training centres. The parents also felt that there were shortage of such friendly competitions for their children and the lack of information on such competitions.

They expressed their appreciations to FTAAA and to MILO, who sponsored the medals and prizes and hope that more such competitions will be held. FTAAA took the initiative to record the email addresses of all the parents who have such facilities so that information of future competitions and other athletics news could be sent to them directly.

Ulu Langat Netball Association Carnival & Jumble Sale

The Ulu Langat Netball Association is organizing a carnival and jumble sale on 7th December 2008 at Kajang Stadium, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. The objective of the carnival and jumble sale is to promote Netball and to raise funds for the construction of an indoor Netball court in for the Ulu Langat Netball Association. All are welcomed to support this noble cause.

Badminton ketandusan pemain pelapis

Celoteh - Etiquette - Kepten Shafari

Thanks for the replies... at least some of you are still IN... On running.. wait till I get back my momentum.. after the long rest. May benext year.. I'll go for 10km first. After seeing Lim Pueh Tian's photos... the desire to get back into competitive running is burning hot now. Heheh Hope I can maintain that this time. My 4 years stint in JB has made me to betoo relaxed though I did go for joggings, but with less competitive runs... the oomph was not there.

And my dear Aneh... u seems to be good at wooing women. Macam playboy tua.Tapi why the heck u r still alone?? R u the hit and run type? Heheh or are uwaiting for the correct MAN to approach u? kah kah kah.

Giving flowers to show your affection? I thought it is long over due. Ithought this style is more to those who are not real... I mean hypocrisytype. Just to show. I prefer that while walking or having makan... u justbuy some flowers or pluck from a plant and give it to her.. impromptutypes... then this is more meaningful. Hehehe... well ladies... am I rightor u prefer Aneh's style?

Aneh... I think your style is for our parents lah..sudah lama. Nowadays, things got to be done in a faster mode. It is not giving up.. but then youcant wait for too long either. At your and my age... kita tak boleh tunggulama-lama.. and we too must have some pride.. mesti jual mahal lor (thenwe'll regret later) hehehe We are just like Mercedes.. lagi lama lagi mahal..antique..(at last tak laku.. like Aneh... hehehe)

Ok gtg... take care and enjoy your work.

Hi Kawan Kawan!

Yes its indeed true that there are plans for another LCCT some where in Labu........but its just talk and discussion. Air Asia is not happy about the taxes and delays are often the cause of Runway occupied by international flights giving priority to foreign airlines rather than for domestic. Air Asia sees this in terms of money since waiting for clearance to take off and landing is " money " wasted. Gallons of fuel is wasted burning while waiting. Our traffic controllers need more space between each flight arrivals and departures which are strictly followed by our own Civil Aviation Laws. Compared to tarffic in Frankfurt...... and other busy airports in the world the traffic controllers are so good that hardly a minute passes a flight is either landing or taking off. Here Air Asia gets pissed off many times as they always allow one runway for takeoff and another for landing. In my opinion our traffic controllers are just following the local laws and there is a urgent need to change that..... since price of aircraft fuel is high. So If I were to be the CEO of Air ASia I would cry foul over the delays...... and would look for alternative ways to save millions of RM in the long run. If the Government do not want to listen the something must be done to save an Airline.

Yes there something that smells not right privatising IJN. Everthing is going fine and wonderful and plenty of doctors are trainned there....... other centres are not well equipped as IJN. So why now wanting to privatize IJN....... someone is smelling money there to make and guess who will be victims?

Bowling event was good and fun........ few ladies. If there were to be more ladies it would have been more lively. Anyway with the anak anak yatim it sure was nice to see them enjoy.......who have not bowling at all...... The joy of seeing how they throw the ball.

I fell down because the dump kambing tua keep nosyind behind my back whenever I wanted to throw the ball........ but the good news is I beat him in both the games....... Did he tell you guys that? Naaaaaah!

My dear Kapten..... thank you for your advice. We the committe always have repeatedly reminded our members to wear our Club Famemas T-Shirts for any events or rather all events but few of them still give us excuses that they are coming staright form their working places and its rainning and they forgot and ........ so on. We cannot tell them to go back or ban them from taking part or deregister them. They are not kids and they should think for themselves. Our job is to remind them and keep reminding at every event. Of couse discipline shall be uphold at all times to ensure Famemas is a club with high dignity. All the bowlers who participated were well behaved and did not cause any unhealthy situations.

Badminton Super Series was a suberb show By KKK and LCW...... I was practically glued to my chair while watching the game on TV. While Ayu called I did not even want to answer her as I know she was very excited about the game too. Well looks the East Malaysians were really having a wonderful time........ imagine what we could have done if we were to be there........ Rock the Stadium Baby!  Thats the kind of match we want to see.

Wei Kapt ! Buka mata mimpi loh! Last chance! What do you mean last chance? Are you giving up? Thats what woman wait for.... to see you give up...... thats when they will know your weakness. A man shall never never give up. He shall strive all the way until she gets married to another man. You dont need to know her moods lah..... What she likes lah and what doesnt....... Come man Kapt tak kan u dah tua sangat sampai tak tau apa yang perempuan suka atau tak suka. Do you dare carrying a bunch of roses and be present yourself in front of her office early in the morning before she starts work? Thats what everywoman want. Will you wait before her office hrs are over with a a nice tub of ice cream and tell her that you would like to share it with her even for a short while. Do you dare to do this? Thats what women like. But I am sure you cant afford to give a Diamond ring for her which is all woman favourite item. But you need not give all that expensive stuff..... just be there for her when she least expects you...... woman love surprises.

Why do you keep looking at woman who eat and talk...... tak ada kerja lain ke? You pakai sensing radar kah? tengok manicure lah..... belakang telinga lah........ Macam ada banyak experiance dengan benda ni!

Well to all the rest of my friends Wishing all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Dear friends,

the govt is about to approve the building of another LCCT airport somewhere near Labu, Negeri Sembilan. It is to be funded by Sime Darby and Air Asia. Air Asia claimed that they are paying RM100 million per year to MAB. And MAB had just finished constructing a bigger LCCT and there is still the Subang air port. Well guys...is it logical that we need another airport? KLIA is underutilised. Since Air Asia being given the rights to fly to S'pore and Tiger & Silk airways to fly to KLIA, there is a dropped in people flying to far distance destinations through KLIA. They preferred to fly through Changi. Well...KLIA will then become a white elephant in the land of Malaysia Boleh. Think hard about this guys...it is your and my country.

IJN to be privatised? Now they say that they wont but they most likely to proceed with it after the Kuala Trengganu by election. Just watch it. Then the poor Malaysians with heart problems will have no where to go. About IJN, it is considered one of the best "heart hospital" in the world. Many specialist and doctors said about this and so are the patients who had gone through the operation theatres. My father is one of them. He had 7 blockages and had 3 by-pass in 2003...he survives till today. Alhamdullilah. I've seen poor patients who need to sign a few papers before going for the operations and those papers are from the welfare department... all they need to pay is only a token. If being privatised....will this practice be continued?? A big doubt!

The bowling session with 5 orang anak-anak yatim went smoothly but not before a long delay. 22 Famemas members were there and they are:

1. Hafiez & wife ( not the betryed Hafidz that put on Chelsea's  jersey.. hehehe)
3. Azuan & wife
5. Rashid with 5 friends
11. Ramlah & hubby
13. Keh Pin Tat
14. David
15. Lee & Family
18. Dorai (he slipped and fell on the floor just after he bowled.. thud!!! macam badak jatuh..heheh)
19. Jason
20. Zul Dean
21. Siva
22. Me
23. Her (she was somewhere there cos I just cant get on with the game..banyak bola masok longkang..hehe)

A big thank you to those who came but then...where are the rest?? I decided to come only on the 11th hour...after knowing that many of the regulars did not RSVP. I was thinking that my presence might make some of you not to come. Well...just for some fun, to gather and to be with the orphans..it is worth to come.

And the EXCOs... pls ensure that all members are to put on the official Famemas t-shirts next time...let it be some discipline and to look more organised. Please.

The Champions League... MU VS Inter Milan, Liverpool VS Real Madrid, Arsenal VS Roma and Chelsea VS Juventus. Going to be very-very interesting matches. This is what we want to see.... real hot stuff.. bukan Malaysia lawan Vietnam dan kalah atau Selangor lawan Kedah (with few Selangor players were banned). Talking about FAM...really feel like vomitting!

Lee Chong Wei vs Pete Gade. Another interesting match and so are the doubles...men and women that is going on in Kota Kinabalu right now.

This evening... MU vs a team from Equador ( lupa nama.. what? Pinto Ligo) to decide the champion of the world's clubs. (Pinto? Razlin Dawina Pinto? hehehe)

Oh yeah...there are only another 7 days for the new year... and there are 7 days for me to have some hope on her saying .. "Ok capt.. lets go for it". heheh... well.. you dont have to pay to dream and imagining things, right? So let me do that.. for another week.

Yes... why not I get the help of mayuh-amai. May be she can help me to convince her to give me a chance to approach her. Or to give some tips on what she likes or doesnt and when is she in good mood so that I can call her. hehehe heheh Hello guys... I am still not crazy ok. But this is my last hope... atau harapan akan hanya tinggal harapan??

Talking on etiquette... it is surprising to see some women who sit cross legged on their chair in restaurants, munching the food with their mouths opened and talking while chewing their food!! eiiiyakk!! This happened in Mid Valley and they are not Indonesians but locals... Malays and Chinese. They are dressed in branded clothes and talking in English. These sort of women.. they really got on my nerves no matter how cantik or sexy they are.

In any women.. cantik or sexy or that caught my attention.. I normally look into their toe nails. I dont expect to be polished but just clean without the black "things" in their nails and propelly menicured will do. Then if there is a chance.. I'll look behind their ears...and into the ear lobes..kalau got aliens.. thats it. Boleh blah...heheh Well... to me if they are clean outside... they are most likely to be cleaned inside too... the inner side which is more important.

Ok ladies... now you are looking at your toe nails and trying to scrub whatever is behind your ears... betul tak? hehehe

Again... saya merayu kapada yang masih setia kapada Famemas.. please do join us in our activities. People whom I really miss (besides her) are like J Lo, Vanitha, Philo, Alicia, Lim Pueh Tian, Lydia, Angeline, Arshad, Bala (MMU), Lilian, Hoon, Zulhabri and other Famemasians and in fact all Famemas members.... pls do join us in our next get together.. may be Christmas get together?? Up to the EXCOs to decide.

Till next time...take care and enjoy life. Happy holidays and to all Christians... Merry Christmas.

capt...  jogging, pancing ikan and solving sudoku.. when ever there is time.

p/s. Hasnira.. pls jangan saman saya...cos you'll get nothing.. kereta pun company punya. Anyway... terima kasih atas kesudian u menulis dari orang Jasin kapada seorang dari Jasinton City. heheh

Kuasa Malaysia!!

Tanpa kelibat bintang China, barisan negara sememangnya pilihan untuk menguasai pentas Kejohanan Badminton Final Masters 2008.

Buktinya, tiga acara menjadi milik Malaysia semalam. Datuk Lee Choong Wei memulakan hari cemerlang buat negara apabila muncul juara acara perseorangan lelaki.

Rentak kemenangan diteruskan apabila gandingan Koo Kien Keat - Tan Boon Heong muncul juara beregu lelaki sebelum Wong Pei Tty - Chin Eei Hui melengkapkan hari penuh bersejarah dengan meraih gelaran beregu wanita.

FAM perlu ambil iktibar, berani buat perubahan drastik

Mereka bukanya calang-calang jurulatih.

Pemain perlu berusaha membangunkan permainan diri sendiri melebihi segala-galanya.

Celoteh - Kepten Shafari

Dear Celoteh readers,

Last Friday, 10 of us were privileged enough to be with who's who in the Malaysian sports world. Dato Sieh Kok Chee spent more than an hour with 8 of us and I felt that we gained much knowledge in that short time than if we were to learn from teachers or books. He is a great man who likes to share his ideas and experiences. He is allowing Famemas to use the Wisma OCM hall for free if we intend to have any functions to raise money for Famemas's trip to Laos Sea games. Opposite our table, Tengku Imran, Dato Dr Mani and a few other sports' greats were having some good drinks. We were the only ones who stayed till 11.30 pm, way after the end of the olympian nite.

Thank you for being there; Raja Azuan (make sure you send us the photos...ok), Yusnita (direct from office...sure tak mandi), Chaterine (the lanky sprinter who would not stop if she were to start drinking...try coca cola and see...she'll definitely stop), Tan Ming Sen (who lost many pounds due to being stranded in Bangkok airport when PAD supporters took over the airport), the ever talkative David the Vice Chairman, Lee Hui Seng and Maria Song (at last I am with a woman in Kebaya batik.. and I think I saw her in late 70s when she was with MAS....luckily we didnt get to know one another.... kalau tidak nama sudah tukar to Aspalela Song Abdullah...hehehe).

The suggestion from Dato Sieh.. i.e. to save RM50 per month so that by Dec 09 we'll have RM500 each for the Laos trip, is very practical in deed. And as supporters, we should be able to support ourselves rather than depending on sponsors. "How can we consider ourselves as great supporters when we cant even support ourselves?" he said.... and it is very true! For this I think as Famemas members who have gone for trips, we should be doing that. Forget about recruiting new members...offer to the veterans first cos at least we know one another. If we were to take in new members, and then he/she has to pay RM500, then he/she thinks that he/she is on holidays....and then the problems on breach on discipline and other problems might cropp up.....and will be difficult to monitor and control. Then it'll defeat the main purpose.

So EXCOs... pls plan something to raise funds so that we are on our own and let us build the brand of Famemas to greater heights and then...we shall be able to demand...may be 4 years from now and then we'll all be in London Olympics!! It is possible right??

Suzuki cup? Eeeiiyak!! I hate FAM more and more. If I have my way.. I'll interrogate that stupid goalkeeper who made 3 blunders in a single match that handed the Vietnamese the match. I'll squeezed his b---- with a rusty pliers and he'll definitely screamed out the names of the benefactors of his blunders. Ai yoooo.... all FAM officials, please submit your resignation. A disgrace to the nation and has been for too long.Tak malu kah??

Kseniya from Russia won the Miss World. Hello Aneh...she is of my type too.. just like the Bond girl. Now I must start learning Russian.. otherwise how can I converse with them. Oh yeah.. my 2009 resolution is to start to live in the world of reality. I must stop dreaming and imagining things. She has only 15 days to say "yes" or otherwise I prefer to live alone forever. Giving up? Yeah may be. Aneh will be one happy guy on reading this cos he'll be a she from 1st January 2009 for not accepting the challenge of the 2 km run...as Jason called it, "Crash of the Titan Raj" and "The awakening of Aci Di" heheheh Aneh.. oopps.. Aci.. kenapa takut. Jom kita lari.....

Heard that Hasnira is a mother now. Betul kah Hasnira?? Tahniah. Tapi jangan lah namakan anak you Korat atau Famemas. Shafari tu ok lah...nanti baik dan alim orangnya. Paling jahat...dia bersorak. hehehe

The bowling game on this Saturday at Sunway Piramid? I would love to join but then got to pick up my children's mother who is coming back from haj... I'll try to join if the work is done. And David...how much is it per head...RM30??

Hafidz suddenly became a Chelsea fan and was sent to train with Chelsea players in London. As what he said...for cari makan, he changed his colours.. from MU fanatic to Chelsea loyal. Banyak pandai this Hafidz lor.. but I am not that... if I like that team... I'll support forever through thick and thin.... just like I am after her... all the way from 2003.. .. banyak lama lor. But after 5 years... I think I should give her a break..let her decide....heheheh "Thanks god... at last this mad man is leaving me in peace", may be this is what she is saying after this. hehehe

Ok.. whatever it is, where ever you are and what ever you are doing, please take care and enjoy life. May be we are fine and healthy right now but we wont know of our fate right after this. Believe in HIM and to HIM that we hope and pray for a better and a safe world. InsyAllah.

To her, please accept my sincere apology for meddling with your life though I am serious of my intention towards you from day 1 but then life is not all rosy...there are ups and downs.

To others whom I've hurt intentionally or not, again I am very very sorry.

Please stay active within Famemas and make it force that is well heard, well seen and the envy of others. Hidup Famemas!!

capt....
