Instant No. 2: On last match of Quarterfinal day (1Aug), Women Doubles pair Lai Pei Jing - Lim Ying Loo was facing top seed Shinta Mulia Sari - Yao Lai of Singapore. The local fans would have gone home by then, as this match has no local interest. But we galvanised the capacity crowd to stay till the end of the proceedings, to support our Malaysian pair and this turned to our advantage and we won at the end.

Instant 3: On Individual Finals day (3Aug), our Mens Doubles and Womens Doubles were under pressure to deliver the last 2 golds for Malaysia. Our womens pair Woon Khe Wei - Vivian Hoo were underdogs against the more fancied opponents from India. However the constant loud cheering from the small group of Malaysian supporters, assisted by huge local Scottish crowd, helped our womens pair to a narrow win and the Gold Medal. Same scenario happened to our Men Doubles as confident Tan Wee Kiong - Goh V Shem smashed their way to victory.
