Celoteh Kepten Shafari - My Feellings

Dear all,

hope still not too late.... belated... HAPPY DEEPAVALI to all my Indian friends. Not that I forgot about it but then... I was just too busy and my lap top went kaput. Anyway my dearest Aneh is not celebrating.... that made me to "relax' but then there are many other Famemas members who are celebrating Deepavali too.... so very sorry guys... for being late in wishing you all.

Oh yeah... about the festival of light... to me it is..like lighting up one's life... giving hope and maintaining one's positive desire... till its pinnacle. In other words.. pushing/encouraging people to gain success and happiness. Well, thats what I think about the inner meaning of Deepavali.

On 11 Oct I attended my son's convo together with my ex wife. She looked more like a Mak Datin... her dress and her style. I did not realised that she has changed alot....being more modern and 'pet...pet...pet"... banyak cakap type. After 11 years of being a single mother..and 50 something.. she still possess that "willing to fight to the last drop of blood". And the way I see it...she is dominating our son's life.... very much an over protective mother. To our 2 girls... she is more relax.... thats why they are much closer to me....very-very manja ....

If we were still married, 10 Oct 2009 would then be our 27th anniversary. But... I just cant figure out of reconciliation... cos it is just like reversing my life... whereas we should be going forward. And she still visits my parents back at my parents home... especially during Rayas. All my adik beradiks still address her as Kak Ngah... But then I just cant think about going back to her... I just cant!! It is not the factor of ego or revenge or what else... I just do not have that feelings for her. May be it is because that we have free access to our 3 children and we can talk and discuss things; in fact we can do whatever we feel like doing... only that we dont sleep together....

Oh... it is like writing to "Dear Telma"; the Sunday Star's column. Well guys... if you do have any advice or suggesstions or what ever it is... pls do so ok. I'll take it with an open heart.

Laos Sea Games... If you can afford it... you'll better go. Though backwards but it is worth seeing the country.... and support the Malaysians there. I am not sure... but trying my very best to be among those going... with or without sponsors. Malaysia Boleh!!

Again I am proposing ...if more than 10 are going then.. we should go to Terendak camp in Malacca to practice the war dance from the commandos. This dance might be a hit amongst the Laotians and the sports people of Asean. I am wiling to arrange for that 2 day stay in Camp Terendak.

Tapi... kalau SI DIA pergi... macam mana pun saya akan pergi. Oh yeah... Laos is a land locked country right... and no place for scuba diving??

Condolence

The Office Bearers and members of OCM wish to extend our condolences to the family of the late Mr. Chok Lee Huat, who passed away peacefully recently at the age of 83 years.

The late Mr. Chok Lee Huat served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Selangor Shooting Association, as an international and technical official in pistol and rifle shooting events, and as an official of the National Shooting team to overseas shooting championships, for many years.

The OCM Training of Trainers Course (TROT) -October 2009

The TROT Course was successfully conducted by experienced facilitators in Sports Management Training from 9th to the 11th October 2009. Amongst them were trainers like Mr. Aloysius Lee, Ms Moira Tan and Dr. Tan. During the three full days of training which involved discussions, group work, role play and simulations, the participants acquired the knowledge and skills of training. The following areas were the focus of the learning activities:
  • Group dynamics
  • Differences of Training /Teaching / Education; Androgogy /Pedagogy/ Heutagogy
  • The Skills of Training & Trainers’ Characteristics
  • Training Methodology & Training Technology
  • The Ethos & Curriculum of Basic Sport Administrators’ Course (BSAC) ).
  • The Role and Responsibilities of the Facilitators
  • The Pedagogy of Training
  • Evaluation in Training
  • Management of the BSAC

The ten trainees experienced an interesting journey towards becoming competent trainers. New knowledge and insights were acquired, mistaken certainties and misconceptions were corrected, new skills were eagerly tried out and existing skills were enhanced. These experiences heightened their interests, strengthened their commitments and increased their confidence in being facilitators for the Olympic Solidarity Basic Sports Administrative Course.

This course has certainly given the confidence to one of the participants, Encik Andrew Gopal from the Ulu Klang Recreation Club (UKRC), to start the BSAC in Ulu Kelang for his club members and members of neighboring clubs. Andrew Gopal would be forming his training team from his fellow course mates. Those who were approached showed eagerness, interest and willingness to be part of his team. This could be indicative that the TROT course has successfully achieved the objectives of making them competent facilitators and creating a pool of facilitators from whom OCM could draw upon to conduct future courses. In fact, another participant, Encik Dan Leong from the Selangor State Sports Council, has already stated that he would conduct the BSAC early next year and that he would be calling upon his fellow course mates to form the training team.

In accordance with the vision and mission of the National Olympic Academy of OCM, another TROT course would be conducted next year so that the pool of facilitators would be expanded and more sports administration/management courses can be conducted, and in a more professional and effective way. OCM is happy to invite all who are interested to become trainers or wish to improve their skills as facilitators to apply for the course.

2nd Malaysia International Basketball Championship 2009

The 2nd Malaysia International Basketball Championship (MIBC) 2009, was successfully organized by the Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA), from 7th to 11th October 2009 at MABA Stadum, Jalan Hang Jebat, Kuala Lumpur. 6 men’s teams from China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China, Korea, Philippine and Malaysia and 4 women’s teams from China, Chinese Taipei, Singapore and Malaysia, participated in the Championship.

We had some fun last Saturday. The food was ok but then almost the same old faces.... except for 2 ladies... Joanne and "the bowling princess'-mata biru.

Yang mendiamkan atau menjauhkan diri pun ramai... and since it was a raya gathering... i think it was not a good idea of not joining the function... cos it is celebrated only once a year. Last year we were in baju Melayu... not many turned up and this year... it was casual, tapi yang datang pun segelintir sahaja. So, the conclusion is that most of you are not interested especially when there is no free trips for SEA Games. I bet if the EXCOs were to tell that the gathering will be part of criterias for the selection of free trip to Laos Sea games.. then pasti ramai yang datang.... and please dont tell me that most of you were busy on that day.

Oooppps... sorry. Just got carried away... out of frustration. Maybe because she didnt turn up too.

About the Laos trip... I wont be going if I were to top up for more than RM800. But then I heard that a few are going even if they were to spend RM2800!! That's should be the spirit of Malaysia Boleh! Famemas Boleh! To them... I salute you all. And a few too are willing to sacrifice for RM1500!! Tahniah... semangat jitu atas nama "die hard supporters".

Or rather than going to Laos, shall we donate to the victims of earthquakes in Padang, the floods victims of Manila, the typhoon survivors of Vietnam or those whose houses, properties or loved ones being washed away during the Tsunami in American Samoa?? Well... Famemasians... we have to do something about those tragedies... something in the name of "caring for others". Just think about it guys.... and we always think tragedies struck others and not us... but what'll happen if it were to be "us" next time???

So Azizul won 2 golds and a silver in Columbia. Congratulations to him & to MNCF too. When we were in Korat , I did say something bad to Dato Naim.. condemning MNCF but Beasley has done wonders to the track cyslists. Is road racing next?? We, as Malaysians really want a pure world champion in the same manners like Dato Nicol David and Dato Lee Chong Wei. Kalau boleh lah....a team sports like football....heheheh.. I'll die and reborn again and again...pun belum boleh menang dengan Korea atau Jepun as long as that man is in FAM. Or yes.... may be he'll die first...then our ranking might go up.

Chelsea won against Liverfool. Well guys.. I almost cheered for the fools cos I just dont like that Abrahamnovic and I hate ...really hate Ballack! Why not? Isnt she adore him?? Emmmmnh.. kalau Ballack datang Malaysia... pasti muka nya kena toreh... so that he is no more as handsome as he is now... hehehe no lah... cos I still believe in "the best man wins".

Hari Raya is almost over... and for some, it was over. What ever it is... "SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI & maaf zahir dan batin to all Muslims... especially to;
Razlin.... kerana saya sering kali menganggu you.

and till next time.... I'll hope for the opposition to win in Bagan Pinang. (Razlin.. please pangkah .... ok... otherwise you'll fail..hehe)

take care folks.

Capt... Dataran Prima... tengah ponteng kerja ni.
